Short description
This device is used to determine the coefficient of static friction of most packaging materials by measuring the angle at which the test surface begins to slide against another inclined surface as the inclination is increased at a constant and prescribed rate.
When the plane is moving at a speed of 1.5° ± 0.5°/sec. rises, the first sign of movement is detected by the carriage with a microswitch that stops the plane of movement and records the relevant angle of inclination. The test is often referred to as the slip angle. The coefficient of the slope is numerically equivalent to the tangent of this angle.
