Short description
For testing the abrasion resistance of textile fabrics (woven, knitted, etc.).
The working principle is that a friction body exerts a scouring effect in the tangential direction on the rotating specimen. The circular scuffing test can be used as a scuffing test, as a scuffing test to assess the change in fabric appearance or as a through scuffing test. It is recommended to refer to the standard sheets for details.
Productdetails
Test method:
An important type of stress that determines serviceability and durability is the abrasion test. The working principle is that a friction body exerts a scouring effect in the tangential direction on the rotating specimen.
Construction type:
Stable, closed design. The device consists of the clamping device with obtuse-angled cone of the clamping head, the clamping plate for fastening the friction body and the control and drive unit. All controls are clearly arranged and easily accessible. A ring wrench with setting gauge is used to prepare and easily clamp the specimens in order to check the arching height affecting the fabric tension. The specimen performs a wobbling rotary motion and rests against the flat friction body surface in such a way that every point on the approximately 50 cm² test surface is uniformly periodically abraded.
Working principle:
The operation is carried out by means of a touch-screen display.
The control of the testing process is designed for manual and automatic operation. After every 100 scrubbing revolutions, the gearbox is switched off automatically and can be operated manually while simultaneously changing the
direction of rotation can be started again.
