For measurements of the energy required to pierce paper and paperboard.
The test consists of piercing a cardboard specimen with a pyramid-shaped triangular piercing head attached to the impact pendulum. The required force of the piercing head to completely cross the test piece is dimensioned. This means that for the first puncture you need to tear and open the cardboard.
